Open Wings Academy (OWA) is a registered Christian private education institute specializing in early childhood development, and primary school education. OWA has its headquarters located in the vicinity of the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Bunda Campus. OWA prides itself in its holistic whole-child focus approach that ensures emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child, thereby unlocking talents and abilities for a guaranteed brighter future.

Our Philosophy
Grounded on Proverbs 22:6 (NIV: “Start children off on the way they should go, and when they are old they will not turn from it.”), OWA models its existence from the life cycle of an Eagle, hence Open Wings Academy Scholars are proudly called “The Eaglets”. The OWA Preschool is called the “Nest” Section where abilities and talents are nurtured with love, comfort, and care, whereas the OWA Primary is called the “Open Wings” Section where the “Eaglets” are dared to use their little wings and learn to fly. We ensure to give OWA scholars the background that transform them into “Sky Masters”, using their unlocked talents and abilities to soar high and thrive in life. For Maximum impact, we recommend uninterrupted exposure to OWA from preschool to junior primary, holding all factors constant.
